What to expect ...

We keep it simple, relational, and Gospel-centered.

Your students' middle and high school years are an incredible time for spiritual development. We want to help ensure every student knows their identity in Jesus based upon the Word while having the opportunity to cultivate Biblical community and grow in their obedience to God's mission.

Everything we do is about helping students become committed followers of Christ. Learn more about Rich Fork Students core key elements below.

Sunday Mornings

Discipleship Classes (Sunday School) is from 9:30 to 10:45 am. We either work through books of the Bible or through Christ-centered curriculum.

Students are encouraged to know the Bible but also apply it to their lives. There will be time set aside for students to share how their week has been and any particular ways we can pray for and encourage them in their walk with Christ.

Sunday evenings

Small groups for Middle and High School students meet in the homes of student leaders from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

In this time, students walk through books related to the Christian walk and enjoy time building deeper relationships. This also provides the opportunity for intentional discipleship.

Wednesday Nights

Wednesday worship is centered around the Scriptures.

The normal rhythm is for our youth pastor or other leaders to teach students verse by verse through books of the Bible.

We also enjoy time in musical worship lead by our student worship team. We meet downstairs in the student area from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.

Every student will encounter leaders that genuinely care for their spiritual health along with the willingness to walk alongside them through life.

Middle and High school are crucial years for the spiritual development of students.

We are called to equip and come alongside parents as they disciple their kids in the “discipline and instruction of the Lord.” (Eph. 6:4)

- Student leader

"I have been a part of Rich Fork since I was 12 years old and cannot imagine my life without being in such a special community. Rich Fork Students love and serve so incredibly well."

"Rich Fork Students has helped to grow my own students. There is no doubt that the love the youth leaders have for the students along with the constant pouring into them with The Word and encouragement has been the reason for such amazing growth."

key elements

God's Word is the foundation and authority for all things for Rich Fork Students. We humbly come under the Word of God in submission to His rule and reign.

christ-centered

With Jesus Christ as the hero of all the Bible, we strive to exalt Christ in all things.

Gospel intentionality

We are not just saved from sin but for God. therefore, all of life should be viewed through the lens of the Gospel. We strive to live on mission for God in all the circles of influence in our lives.

Rich Fork Students is not the youth pastors, youth workers, or students. It all belongs to God because He is the owner of all things. Therefore, the youth pastor stewards Rich Fork Students in light of this reality.

dependence

We understand that nothing can have an eternal impact apart from the work of God. Therefore, we depend on God in prayer to do what only He can through the Holy Spirit.

All decisions and plans are made with this direction in mind - Helping students to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Where should my students go after Sunday morning discipleship classes?

What are some events Rich Fork Students participate in?

What is D*wknd?

What age/grade can my students particpate in Rich Fork Students?

We prioritize families going to the worship service together. Parents are encouraged to connect with an adult class during the 9:30-10:45 AM slot so that families can go to corporate worship together.

Rich Fork Students will have multiple events throughout the year but we are not event-driven. Some events include, D*wknd, summer camp, retreats, Christmas party, and others.

We focus our discipleship efforts on middle and high school students. (6th-12th grade) Teaching and activities will be planned with that in mind. Students can begin participation in RFS when they enter middle school and continue all the way through their senior year.

Student discipleship weekend. The first weekend in March we gather with other churches for large group teaching and worship. RFS are divided by grade/gender where they will spend time participating in small group discussions, community, and free-time activities. Our leaders will provide food, transportation, and leadership for the weekend.
