Our Ministry in the Disabilities Communities

o Our building is accessible with multiple entrances and an elevator.
o Rich Fork has a long and rich history of working with persons with disabilities. Our Adult Disabilities Program is
over 30 years old and our Children with Disabilities Ministry is 10 years old.

Adults with Disabilities

o Meet at 7:45 am and 8:45 am both in classroom 311.
o These classes provide a support group as well as Bible study time.
o This class welcomes adults of all ages accommodates persons with limited social and communication skills.
o Special Events are offered for persons based on ability and interest.


o Medical Professional on site
o Safety Personnel on site
o Christian Volunteers assist in the classrooms with the Bible Study.

Friends Clubhouse

o Enjoys Bible Study time at 10:00 am in room 314.

o Participants are older teens who have fun with friends

during a structured biblical lesson time.

o These lessons times are at a gentler pace, allowing time

for extended activities or repetition of meaningful activities

over time and frequent reviews

o Christian Volunteers assist in the classrooms with the Bible

Children with Disabilities

o Lower Level Children's Area rooms 121 and 123 is the meeting space for Shining Stars.

o Elementary children can come as early as 10:00 am and choose to remain for the 11:15 class, depending on their parent’s attendance.

o Our curriculum includes crafts, Bible stories, music, prayer and learning about the Bible, providing foundations for spiritual growth and development. This also offers the benefit of remaining in the same classroom with familiar teachers several years in a row.

o This class features a safe outdoor playground.

o Currently, the Shining Stars class is composed of ages 6 and older on roll.


o Electronic Check-in system

o Permanent Name badges to identify volunteers

o Background checks on all volunteers

o Membership and six-months attendance required before volunteering with children

o Parent/Guardian verification required at each child pickup.

o Safety Personnel for children’s area

o Medical Professionals on site

o Allergies or medical issues will be listed on child’s name tag

o Restricted traffic flow in children's area

o Security camera surveillance

o One on One volunteer to child ratio


o Upon arrival parents or guardians fill out an informational

form indicating how their child is best served.

Our Goals

o To Partner with Parents in order to:

o Lead children to a personal faith in Jesus

o Form a deep love for God’s Word

o Encourage a love for the people God has created

Our Volunteers
Trained youth and adult volunteers:

o Patiently love kids

o Add energy

o Have a personal relationship with Christ

o Teach scriptural truths through a plan to engage

every child!

o Offer reverse inclusion so

that our typical children can have friends in

this class.
